Instructor Coqui, Carlos Rodriguez has been teaching Capoeira in Lancaster and York counties since 2001. He began studying Capoeira in 1997 under the guidance of Mestre Loka, who founded Groupo Capuraginga in 1984.
Coqui has been a staple in the Capoeira community for the last decade holding Batizados, open rodas, demos and more across Central Pennsylvania and recently organized a move to grupo Cordao De Ouro Capoeira under the guidance of Mestre Suassuna and Mestre Virgulino. More recently, Coqui initiated the opening of the Pennsylvania Capoeira Academy located in beautiful downtown Lancaster.
